There is no tongue on these shoes.You slip your foot into the shoe and pull the loop on the heel to help your foot inside.If the loop fails it will not be easy.The right shoe felt good once on, but, the left shoe felt like there was a bump under the ball of my foot.I am a loyal footjoy customer and will try another style….making sure there is tongue.I’m surprised in all of the reviews that I read that this wasn’t mentioned and that I didn’t notice it in the photos.
